Sydney’s new home for live entertainment.

Located next to the Luna Park Face on world famous Sydney Harbour, Sonar is Sydney’s newest home for live entertainment. Open from Friday through to Saturday, Sonar will deliver an exceptional live music roster that features both international and local talent of the highest caliber.

This intimate space can cater for up to 300 people and the fully air conditioned room provides amazing acoustic enhancement for the state of the art sound system.

The cozy environment also creates a warm, friendly atmosphere with which to enjoy the show and gives guests the chance to get up close and personal with the performers.

Guests are also given the opportunity to enjoy a delicious snack menu in Sonar’s stylish, comfortable surrounds with a mixture of vegetarian and non vegetarian options available.

Parking is available in the Luna Park Carpark, which is located on Paul Street and doors open at 9pm on Friday and Saturday. Sonar is fully licensed and is strictly 18 years and over, unless the show is specified as 'All Ages', so  please bring your photo ID.

Turnpage are a four peice rock band from Sydney. Their music boasts the versatility of Goliath-like riffs and moody ballads. Mix that in with a unique melody and songwriting style and Turnpage are a band truly of their own.

The band has been building a steady fan base since 2006, and is currently putting the final touches on their eagerly anticipated debut EP, "The Riverbed Cinematic". followed closely by a launch night to be announced. The guys are ready to set a platform by which they will take the Indie music scene by storm this year.

Knowing about The Fuel Economy is essential. The Fuel Economy a band that formed by pure coincidence a couple years ago and have been growing and progressing since 2006. The band comprises of four members, each unique and their differences are integral to their success.

The Fuel Economy have been giging at bars, pubs and other venues all around Sydney, and now after two years of writing, giging and recording the band are on the verge of releasing their debut album The Oliver Chester Sessions which shows promise of great things to come.

Their single "Song For Me is now at radio.

Dukes of Windsor found their first incarnation when Jack Weaving (vocals) and Cory Blight (drums/engineer/producer) spent several months writing songs in 2005. They soon enlisted Scott Targett (keyboard), Oscar Dawson (guitar), Joe Franklin (bass), and Dukes of Windsor were born.

The band has just returned from Sweden where they recorded their album at former lunatic asylum Tonteknik Studios with hardcore legends Pelle Henriccson and Eskil Lovstrom (Refused The Shape of Punk to Come). A video for the first single from the new album Its A War was also shot during their time in Sweden.

The Bird's Collective is a group of like-minded musicians, bands and artists coming together to promote and enhance the progressive music scene.   With a lineup of acts carrying the influences of bands such as Yes, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, The Mars Volta, Battles, Budgie, Sigur Ros and more, Bird's Robe seeks to make every show an event for progressive and experimental music.

Tonight, Bird's Robe comes to Sonar for its eighth show, with a lineup featuring groove proggers Squat Club, the experimental audio/visual artists Space Project, the epic post-rock of sleepmakeswaves and the dynamic power of headliners Tinderbox.

Goodnight Nurse have had a Top 40 single in New Zealand every year since 2004. Their debut album 'Always And Never' debuted at #5 on the NZ charts and went gold in it’s first week. The album included the hit singles 'Loner', 'My Only', 'Death Goes To Disco', 'Our Song' and 'All For You'.

Goodnight Nurse won the 2007 MTV Australia Video Music Award for NZ Viewers Choice. This sits proudly alongside their Juice TV Best Breakthrough Video and Best Rock Video Awards.

Goodnight Nurse have supported Fall Out Boy, Story Of The Year, and the Living End amongst others, and have played hundreds of shows across New Zealand and Australia.

With influences ranging from Coltrane to D'Angelo, Jamiroquai to Joshua Redman, Alamode is a hard band to categorise. A mixture of live jazz, fusion, funk, and even hip-hop, Alamode is a 5 piece band guaranteed to get everybody dancing.

Hailing from Newtown, Sydney, 2008 is set to be busy for Alamode, starting off the year with an explosive performance at the Spirt of Soul Festival in January. May 28th saw Alamode release their debut album 'The Fettuccine Method" supported by the Fuji Collective and Bass Camp "The Fettuccine Method", recorded with an extended lineup will be recreated live at the Album launch with the addition of a string section, 4 piece horn section and vocalist Miranda Murphy.
